Why your website is losing customers (and how to fix it)

A website that doesn't bring in customers isn't an asset: it's a cost.

I've seen hundreds of small business websites in the Parma area. Most of them have the same problems. You don't need a full redesign to fix things: targeted work is often enough.

1. It loads too slowly

Google penalizes slow websites. Users leave after 3 seconds. If your site takes more than 2 seconds to load on mobile, you're losing visitors before they even see what you do.

The problem is usually unoptimized images, cheap hosting or badly written code. It can be fixed.

2. It can't be found on Google

A nice website is useless if no one finds it. Local SEO for a small business in Parma isn't complicated: it's about having the right words in the right places, an up-to-date Google My Business listing and some useful content.

3. It doesn't work on mobile

Over 60% of local searches happen on smartphones. If your site is hard to use on a phone, with tiny text, buttons too close together or forms that are impossible to fill in, you're cutting off the majority of your potential customers.

4. It has no clear action

What should a visitor do when they land on your site? If it isn't obvious within 5 seconds, they leave. Every page needs a specific goal: book a call, fill in a form, call you.

5. It never gets updated

A site that hasn't moved in years sends a signal: is this business still active? Outdated content, wrong opening hours, expired offers all damage trust before you ever get to talk to the customer.

If you recognize your website in one of these points, let's talk. A 30-minute call is enough to figure out what's worth fixing.
