A custom management tool, from the employee app to payroll
The company handled work orders, employee hours and client relationships between paper, chats and scattered sheets. Worked hours had to be reconstructed by hand, reporting and payroll took up a lot of time every week, and there was always the risk of losing pieces along the way.
I built a custom management tool around everything the client needed. Employees have an app to check in and out of work, so the hours record themselves instead of being reconstructed by hand. There's a dedicated client area, and I built AI into the various processes to automate the repetitive parts. The system collects the hours and prepares the data for reporting and payroll, which used to be long, manual work.
The management tool took a lot of work hours off every week. The most noticeable part was reporting: employee hours are tracked automatically with check-in and check-out, and this made it much simpler to prepare payroll and reports, which used to be done by hand.
